Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss Kwesi Nyantakyi

Former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi, who is contesting the New Patriotic Party’s parliamentary primary in the Ejisu Constituency, has been hospitalized.

According to his campaign team, Mr. Nyantakyi suffered stomach pain on Friday night and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

His team suspects that Mr. Nyantakyi’s illness may have arisen from his inability to eat all day as he had a busy schedule ahead of the polls, including a planned meeting with delegates.

He was taken to the Legacy Hospital at Asokore Mampong for treatment where he has been since Friday evening.

However, his campaign team has confirmed that health professionals have run checks on the candidate, and he is expected to be discharged before the end of the election.
