Voting in the Mahyia South Constituency primary of the NPP is expected to end before the 1 PM closing time because of the smooth process.

NPP delegates vote in the parliamentary primary to choose a replacement for the Member of Parliament for the area, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO).

The election became necessary following the selection of Dr Opoku Prempeh as the running mate to the flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

Security has been beefed up for the primary.

“All four aspirants are confident of winning based on the feedback from delegates,” TV3’s Ibrahim Abubakar reported on Sunday July 15.

“Polls will end at 1pm but likely to end before the agreed time looking at the pace,” Ibrahim further reported.
