The much advertised 24-hour economy walk to be organized by Ashanti  National  Democratic  Congress,  NDC on Thursday, December 21, has been called off.

The party noted that the suspension of the walk is necessary as the party wants to concentrate on the district assembly elections scheduled on that Thursday.

“We want to inform the people of Asanteman the postponement of our intended 24-hour economy walk due to some strategic reasons. For now, we want to concentrate on Thursday’s rescheduled elections at the over 200 electoral areas. After that, a new date will be communicated later. No matter what, the walk will come on because Ghanaians are prepared for it, “regional deputy secretary of NDC, Baah Acheamfuor stated.

The walk is to further create awareness on the new campaign message for the party and educate the public on the policy.
