Govt has initiated a number of projects in Ashanti Region – Amin Adam

The Minister for Finance Dr Mohammed Amin Adam has visited the Asante Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah as part of his working day tour of the Region.

The Minister for Finance used the opportunity to commend the Regional Minister for his strong advocacy for more development projects in the region.

He underscored the importance of the region in the development of the country stating that Kumasi is the commercial hub where people from all over the country visit to do business.

“Your contribution to the development of the country cannot be overlooked “ he noted

According to the Finance Minister, the government has implemented a number of projects scattered across to serve the people of the Ashanti Region.

“We have faced some challenges that have affected the schedule for completion of these projects but we will continue to thank you especially for your support and patience for this government, “ he said.

He also paid a courtesy call on Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia Palace.

“The main purpose of the visit is to seek your wise counsel support and blessings” the Minister said.

The finance minister said that his visit in the region forms part of a broader strategy to have a first-hand view of government projects.
