Bawku: Security beefed up ahead of visit by Dr Bawumia  

Security has been beefed up in the Bawku municipality and its environs ahead of Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s visit to the Paramount Chief of Kusaug Traditional Area, Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II.

The visit of the Vice President to Bawku is to thank the Bawku Naba, Zugraan Naba Asigri Abugrago Azoka II, for his prayers and support during his quest to become the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

There is heavy security presence in all the surroundings of Kusaug starting from Zebilla to Binduri, Bawku township and its environs.

Some of the major roads within the township have been blocked. The road from the Ghana Highways Authority, through the Municipal Assembly, has been blocked to pave way for the Vice President’s entourage.

Motorists plying that route have had to go through new Articulator Park and Mazama to Bawku town.

Party supporters  are all geared up to receive the flagbearer of the NPP and the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana.
