Be professional in discharge of your duties – Outgone CDS tells military officers

This afternoon, officers and staff of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) have been charged to be professional in the discharge of their duties.
In the wake of emerging threats and hostile military-civilian relations reported recently, a strong caution has been issued to the officers of the armed forces to ensure peaceful co-existence in the country.

As Ghana prepares to hold the 2024 general elections, the outgone Chief of Defence Staff CDS), Vice Admiral Seth Amoama wants leadership of GAF to be loyal and highly professional.

He made these remarks at a ceremony to swear-in the new Chief of Defence Staff, Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah in Accra on February 1.

The event was characterised by display of gratitude and camaraderie, shower of gifts, profound citations and hearty appreciations as well as celebratory guard of honour parade marked the momentous occasion to farewell to the former Chief of Defence Staff, Vice Admiral Seth Amoama.
Having served four decades in service, Vice Admiral Amoama’s sterling leadership was extolled by all.
And for him, his exemplary dedication and tenure could not be successful without the massive support he enjoyed from staff and sister security agencies.
