Ghana’s Big Chante signs with Ashtown Records International

Ghanaian Afrobeat sensation Kwadwo Ntim Mensah, widely known as Big Chante, has officially announced his signing with Ashtown Records International, a move poised to redefine the music industry landscape.
The artist, born on July 16th, commenced his musical voyage during his secondary school years at Aggrey Memorial Zion Secondary School in Cape Coast. With a diploma in Business Studies from the University of Professional Studies and additional studies in shipping management, Big Chante has cultivated both academic and artistic prowess.
Having previously been part of the acclaimed music group Akesifour, alongside partner Andy Nii Okai (Rass Biggy), Big Chante gained recognition with their debut album, “African Girl,” released in 2006. The album received numerous nominations, with the track “African Girl” clinching the Best Reggae Song at the MTN Ghana Music Awards.
Transitioning to a solo career in 2010, Big Chante has since released two successful albums and impactful singles, solidifying his influence in the Ghanaian music scene.
2023 marks a significant chapter in Big Chante’s journey as he officially joins Ashtown Records International, an American-based label founded in 2020 by CEO Stephen Kwame Amabley (JMoni). The label, dedicated to producing, branding, and promoting hit songs across genres, has swiftly become a major player in the industry.
Big Chante’s collaborations with artists like Kofi Kinaata, Vibrant Fire, Kofi B, Okomfo Kwadee, Okyeame Kwame, QStar from Tanzania, and Kirk Diamond from Canada highlight his versatility. His dedication to Afrobeat music has earned him multiple nominations at prestigious events such as the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
