I met my husband online; he took my engagement list before seeing me – Celestine Donkor

Gospel musician, Celestine Donkor has revealed how she met her husband through faith and in a very unconventional manner.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Cookie Tee on Today’s Woman, the ‘Testimony’ hit maker said she met her husband, Kofi Donkor online through a friend’s recommendation who was based abroad.

Celestine narrated that her husband after receiving her number through her friend, reached out to her via Yahoo messenger and phone.

She continued that after getting to know each other for some time, her husband was convinced he had found the right woman and requested for engagement list even before he could set eyes on her.

Kofi Donkor then came to Ghana purposefully to tie the knot with Celestine Donkor.

“We didn’t meet physical. We met online. A very close friend of mine traveled outside and she met my husband and they discussed me so my husband took my number from her and started talking to me from Ghana. We were chatting on yahoo messenger and talking on phone.

“He came down purposely to get married to me, there is no way I would go there because we were not married. My husband took my engagement list before seeing me physically.

“He said he also prayed about me, and before he met me through my friend, there was a word he was looking forward to. There was just a word hanging on his life, and he was waiting for its manifestation. So, when he met my friend and there was a discussion, he got to know that this is the person the man of God spoke about,” she narrated.

The couple’s bonding and togetherness is evident as the gospel singer is managed by her husband, Kofi Donkor.

He has been managing Celestine Donkor for over a decade now supporting her in her career and providing directions.

They are currently blessed with three children.
