Former Member of Parliament for Okaikwei South Nana Akoema has said that the flagbearer of the New Patitoc Party (NPP) is unhappy when his past tapes are played to him.
“Bawumia is not happy,” the Managing Director of the State Transport Company (STC) told Johnny Hughes, host of 3FM’s Sunrise Thursday, June 06, 2024, when asked “how does Dr. Bawumia feel when his tapes are being played back to him?”
But “if we play John Mahama’s tapes in 2012 and 2013 and so on he will not be happy so Bawumia is not happy,” Akomea added.
He noted however, that the Vice President, not having the opportunity to serve, unlike Mahama, should be given the opportunity since he is better placed to govern than the former President.
“But the difference is that, John Mahama was in charge, it was his government, he had the mandate of the country as President. The Executive authority in this country is vested in the President. Bawumia has never been President,” stated.
