Matthew Opoku Prempeh can’t hide his arrogance – Mahama

Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has said the running mate to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Dr Matthew Opku Premhe is unable to hide his arrogance.
His comments come after Dr. Opoku Prempeh, known as NAPO, in a recent video referred to President Mills as “the one who died,” seemingly forgetting his name.
Addressing the issue at a community engagement in the Akatsi North of the Volta Region, Mr Mahama condemned Dr Prempeh’s latest comments as both uncalled for and disrespectful to the memory of President Mills.
“He can’t hide his arrogance. I was just watching a video yesterday, and he was talking about the past president. He said Rawlings, and he said Kufuor, and somehow he even forgot Professor Mills’ name, and then he said, “That one who died”.
“I mean, how can you talk like this? Very disrespectful, very insulting. Arrogance is like pregnancy. Whatever you do, it will come out,” he said.
“You can insult me because I can respond because I am alife, but in our tradition, you don’t say evil things about the dead. You don’t disrespect the dead because they are not alive to respond to you,” the former president added.
