Miracles Aboagye provides reasons why he thinks NPP is far better than NDC

A presidential staffer Dennis Miracles has said that the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) is far better than the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in every aspect.
Admittedly, he said, the NPP administration has encountered challenges in the macro-economy but the primary causes, he said, are obvious albeit not an excuse ‘but it is the fact’.
In spite of these challenges, he added, the NPP has been able to steadily improve other critical sectors like Agriculture, Health, Education, Infrastructure, and Social Safety nets while working to bring back the economy on track.
“This government has done way more in Education than any other government in the past 16years; More educational infrastructure opened access to education by removing the financial barrier, elevated teacher training and improved professionalism for teachers, enrollment has increased and reduced drop out and ultimately performance has improved than we have experienced in the past 16years.
“This Government has initiated the most audacious policy to fix our health infrastructural gap once and for all by ensuring primary health care at the district level is available and accessible to all through the construction of about 88 District hospitals,” Aboagye said in a statement posted on his X platform.
He added that this government has constructed the most kilometers of roads than any government in the past 16 years and still working at opening up our major highways.
“See the Suhum Kumasi Road, See the Pokuase Interchange and Ofankor Nsawam Road, Kasoa Winneba has started, Adenta Dodowa Road has started. Tema Motorway expansion started and several interchanges and urban interconnectivities happening within the cities.
“All social Safety nets that were removed in the past have been restored, Teacher and Nursing trainee allowances. This Government has introduced a deliberate strategy of working together with private sector to establish Industries in the MMDAs to stimulate Local Economic Deveopment.
“Imagine, Just imagine, an NDC Government in a period where Global Supply chain is disrupted which has directly impacted our exchange rate. Imagine, just imagine, having to pay Fees by the poor Ghanaian in the midst of Global Economic crisis. Imagine you having to pay high Electricity Bills and yet not having the Electricity available. Imagine, Fee paying SHS is still in force and the country was still churning out over 100,000 drop outs from the BECE, just imagine.”
The country, he further stated, has genuine difficulties and just like all other countries, Ghana is also working to get out of these challenges.
“But one surety is that, we have a government that is working with the people to set us back on the path of progress. Something we don’t have in the past and that’s the biggest difference between NPP and NDC. NPP acknowledges the challenges, works with the people to get us out of it. The NDC never acknowledges the challenges, they call the bluff of the people and then do whatever they want to do until they are pushed out.
“Next time, you think about Ghana and its leadership, think about the fact that effective leadership isn’t the absence of challenges and difficulties, but the presence of the courage and confidence to mobilise the people in the midst of crisis and set them on the path of recovery. That, is the difference between NPP and NDC and in 2024, we will clearly draw that line.”
