NPP abandoned projects they inherited – Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of abandoning projects they inherited from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
Mr Mahama observed that the NPP, after jettisoning the projects, started new ones they will not be able to compete with before they leave office.
Addressing a gathering attended by some traditional leaders in Sogakope as part of the ‘Building Ghana tour’ in the Volta Region on Thursday, January 11, he assured to continue with whatever projects will be left behind.
The flagbearer of the NDC said “All the projects that they inherited they have abandoned them, it is not only in the Volta Region but across the country and they themselves have started projects that they know they cannot complete, yet instead of finishing the abandoned projects and ongoing projects, they have started new projects such as the Agenda 111, some of them are at foundation levels, some they have raised the blocks but they know they cannot finish before they leave, so what they will do is they will just push it on to somebody else.
“I have pledged that we will restrain ourselves from starting a new project, whatever little resources that we come and meet we will send it to complete the ongoing and abandoned projects.”
