Black Stars coach Otto Addo believes his squad has the quality to match Mali in their crucial 2026 World Cup qualifier.

The two teams will clash at the Stade du 26 Mars at 19:00 GMT in the third round of matches.

The game is significant, especially for Ghana who have been poor in recent times. The four-time African champions are now fifth in Group I after fetching just three points from their first two games.

While acknowledging the pool of young quality talents in the Eagles’ team, he expressed confidence in the Black Stars.

“It’s a very important match for us. We are one point behind Mali and we have to win to give us a chance of qualifying to the World Cup. Mali are a very strong team. They have young talent in their team and it will be a tough game for us tomorrow.” he told the press ahead of the game

“We have to do our best to stop Mali, stop their best players and concentrate on the way we play to get the result we want.”

Ghana will be chasing its first win in 2024 following a dismal 2023 Africa Cup of Nations campaign which saw the team claim just two points and bow out of the Group stage for the second consecutive time.
