Will Harry Kane go another season trophyless?
Will Harry Kane go another season trophyless?

The job of the number nine on the field is to score goals. But what is the legacy of a striker who has scored a ton of them, but has no silverware to go along with it?
Such is the story of Harry Kane.
At 30 years old, Harry Kane is head and shoulders above many in the number nine department. He is both Tottenham Hotspur and England’s all-time highest goal scorer and the second-highest all-time goal scorer in the Premier League.
A prolific goal scorer with strong link play, Kane is regarded as one of the best players in the world and one of the best strikers of his generation.
But one thing has long evaded the Englishman: trophies. A plight that saw Harry Kane leave London for Munich after 14 years.

Eight months on, one thing for sure is, that wherever the Englishman goes, goals follow. He leads the race for the Bundesliga top goal scorer with 24 goals so far.
But after a turbulent week for Bayern Munich in which they lost 3-0 to title challengers Bayer Leverkusen and lost to Lazio in the round of 16 first leg, Harry Kane could well end his first season at Bayern Munich and another season without a trophy.
Harry Kane and Bayern face an uphill battle. Bayer Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso this season have been impressive. Their title charge has been built on a solid defence, which has seen the German side go on a 30-game unbeaten run. It might take a footballing miracle to see them slip up towards the end of the season.
But nothing is certain, and the season is still far from over. With 13 games still to play in the Bundesliga and a second leg against Lazio to turn things around in the Champions League one thing for sure is, the Bavarian giants are certainly on borrowed time.
